It turns out that Smokey Yunick's adiabatic engine did its magic by vapourising the gas:

http://www.gafiero.org/smokey.shtml

Ian said:

of course the fuel vapour systems is definately the way to go along with HOH etc. All engines are GAS engines. They were never designed to have liquid fuel flood into them so the more we can do to turn any liquid fuel into gas the better we can get our engines to perform and clean up the air.

What was special about the toilet roll was that it was tightly wound and 2 ply.

Toilet rolls filter down to 1/10 of a micron according to Trasko who still make a spin on filter for modern cars that contains a “woven” filter (aka dunny roll).

AKT was an Australian company that used to make spin on oil filters containing a dunny roll. They had a factory in Dandenong. I'd really like to know where they went because I was a very keen user of these filters… and now have to import from the US. The toilet rolls they used were Sorbent two ply.

I still have a Franz bypass filter which I never fitted. Must get around to it some day… just waiting for the right car (needs a bit of space in the engine bay).

All these filters have a much greater carrying capacity than the normal filter. That means they can be left on for two or three oil changes.

Most of these filters also have extra fins on the outside and improve cooling quite substantially.

Ian said:

The Franz filters were great as well for the bypass oil filtration. Never change the oil, only the toilet roll ( special toilet roll) and cleaned down to 5 micron from memory. Sadly this system has gone by the wayside as well.

I still have some of the Super Igniter plugs of various types in stock. Mostly the weird ones... but if someone really wants to try one I'm sure I could be persuaded to part with some of them for a relatively modest sum.

Ian said:

On plugs I used to sell the Super Igniter range which had a 360 deg horizontal spark so that the usual probe did not interfere with the spark and fuel mixture. These plugs lasted the 100km but sadly when the inventor retired in England, no one wanted to take on the production of these plugs. Many of the multi probe plugs do not have the advantage of the 360 deg lateral spark.

Hi everyone,

I'm reading a very interesting description of how the Tesla battery switch works, and how John Bedini & co. use this effect in many applications. I just want to know if lighter ions would experience the same magnitude of "traffic jam" phenomena during the initial discharge pulse. I just ordered a small energizer kit from r-charge, and want to use the new lithium iron phosphate batteries instead of the traditional lead sulfate batteries. I don't think it would make much of a difference, since the iron ions are going to still be massive compared to electrons, but just wanted to know if anybody had opinions on iron vs. lead ion differences.

Thanks.

Over the last few months we have been busy with cell design to try to bring the cell technology to a level that will be useful for day to day operation. In particular we are focused on stationary diesels for generators and irrigation pumps. We don't know if we will achieve this but is is very encouraging to see one of our very determined members achieve a consistent 100% gain in efficiency. I look forward to an update to see if that has continued since the last report. Also some veterans up North claim some excellent results and tell of diesels running completely on the cell. A phenomenon called 'DIESEL RUNAWAY' has occurred with the cell and the only way to stop it, was to turn the fuel back on. I hope no one else has that frightening experience, but it is well to keep in mind how to shut down the diesel. I would love to hear of your weird experiences if you have any to share.

We have all heard about Orgone Energy and of course Alex Schiffer in his book 'Experimenter's Guide to the Jo cell' discusses the topic at length in relation to the Joe cell. You can check out his writings on the yahoo forums as well. The new book that Steve Jones has published takes a different tack and explains the Joe Phenomenon with Deuterium. This also makes a lot of sense from a conventional Science point of view. This idea was first presented at our HOH lectures by Barrry Hilton and recorded on the DVD 'RELEASING THE FIRE OF PROETHIUS'. Any way I have two cells off the production line now ready for testing. One is a revamped cell I made some years ago and I must say it did perform differently to the others. The multi layers of paper and foil may well assist in the water charging process and energy capturing of the cell. If only a serious research facility would take this on and really figure out what is really happening here. We have replicated and proven so many weird phenomenon such as running an engine at 70 or more advanced and proven the implosion/explosion phenomenon.

Also thanks to the guys up North I have encorporated a new Cathode and inner Cell configuration. I have set this up on the bench as a charge cell and I am very impressed so far. I will continue the testing with three new test cells to trial all new designs over the next few weeks and make comments here and invite other Joe Cell fanatics to share their experiences as well. Hopefully together we can come up with a great out come for this rather frustrating technology. I will have more detail and youtube clips on the web site at www.nutech2000.com

Ian on ENGINE COOLING BY-PASS SYSTEM

Darryl O'Bryan has address several of our meetings and captivated the audience with his specialized knowledge and experience with the Otto Engine. . We are all excited when we hear of achieving better power and performance and especially when figures of 30% or more are talked about. Many of our members are now doing some great projects such as the Plasma ignition systems and various individuals have brought along some great projects and even new motor systems.

The good news is that the association and several members have put in and bought several Craig Davey electric water pumps so that we can achieve up to 80 liters per min. We actually only want about 10 Liters per min at idle.

CONTROLLER UNIT NEEDED: Maybe someone can assist in making a controller that varies the pump volume (revs) in relation to the engine revs (ignition spark pulse) and to water temperature so that if the temp exceeds the thermostat rating the pump goes to capacity or a preset value. Should be simple enough for a clever technician so if anyone can assist that would be great. (The Association can fund the project)

Joe and my self made some drawings of the various housings and have the aluminum to commence machining so that we can do some testing in the near future. I have a 1980 Ford and a 1984 Corolla I would like to test run and if anyone else would like to do some trials the pump will be available. We maybe able to get the housings manufactured on a CNC machine if there is sufficient interest later on. We will see how the results go.

Special thanks to Darryl for making this possible and those with big thirsty Diesels should pay particular attention.

This will give us a good base line for us to commence some serious HOH testing so lots to do folks and we are always looking for folk with time on their hands to get involved.
Craig Davey have been very generous in supplying the pumps at a special price for Association members so if you require a pump, please email me at nutech@tpg.com.au. Also I have a DVD of Darryl's lecture on the water by-pass system if you are not familiar with it.

If you have any comments or information on this topic I am happy to add to this post. Please see the I.C.E posts on the main site. Right menu
